BOSQUE SCHOOL

Consensus Planning has conducted a myriad of tasks for this private, nonprofit college preparatory school serving students in grades 6 through 12 located on Albuquerque’s West Side. Work has included zoning, site planning, landscape design, and project management through many stages of campus evolution. The entire site is arranged to make the outdoors an integral part of the campus, with plazas, courtyards, paths, and environmentally-appropriate materials, colors, and plantings. Bosque School received a NAIOP Award of Merit for Civic/Public Project in 2000 and an Award of Merit from the Albuquerque Conservation Association in 2002.

MANZANO MESA PARK

Consensus Planning used interactive planning models and community preference surveys to discover what local residents wanted in their proposed 46-acre community park in the Southeast Heights of Albuquerque. Plans included a multi-generational center, picnic shelters, sand volleyball courts, court and field facilities, and play areas for people of all ages and abilities. The park also includes innovative drainage improvements including joint use of the drainage detention basin for ballfields. A new “sprayfield” playground using interactive water toys and fountains has been added to make this a one-of-a-kind park.
Client: City of Albuquerque, Parks and Recreation Department.
